Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started & Making a Booking
Q: Which areas of Swindon do you cover?
We cover all of North and West Swindon, including Abbey Meads, Priory Vale, Tadpole Garden Village, Redhouse, Haydon Wick, Mouldon Hill, Peatmoor, Sparcells, Shaw, Grange Park, and Toothill. If you live nearby and aren't sure if you're in our zone, just get in touch!
Q: Is there an initial consultation?
We always begin with a free, no-obligation Meet & Greet in your home. This allows us to meet you and your dog, get to know their routines, discuss any specific behavioural or medical needs, and ensure we're a great fit before any services are booked.
Q: How far in advance do I need to book?
For regular, recurring walks or drop-ins, we recommend booking as far in advance as possible to secure a preferred time slot. For ad-hoc or casual visits, we appreciate at least 24 to 48 hours' notice, though we always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests for existing clients, so don't be afraid to ask!
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel any booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled service time. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at the full rate to cover our reserved time.

Walks & Drop-in Visits
Q: Do you offer solo walks or group walks?
We offer both! Solo walks are ideal for dogs who prefer individual attention, are reactive to other dogs, are older and prefer a slower pace, or are young pups who might need some work on focus. Group walks are kept to a maximum of 3 dogs to ensure safety, manageable group dynamics, and plenty of individual supervision.
Q: What happens during a drop-in visit?
A standard 30-minute drop-in visit includes a quick relief break in your garden or a short local walk, refreshing water bowls, feeding if requested, cleaning up any accidents, and giving your dog plenty of playtime, affection, and mental stimulation - not forgetting treats! We will try to accommodate any requests you have.
Q: How long are the walks, and where do you take the dogs?
Our standard walks are 30 or 60 minutes long (starting from when we get to the walking spot - travel time doesn't count!) We visit local parks, green spaces, and safe neighbourhood routes, adjusting our path based on weather conditions, your dog's energy level, and taking into account walking areas they love. We always walk in familiar areas.

Q: Are you insured, and background-checked?
Yes, absolutely. We are fully commercially insured, public liability covered, and police background-checked (DBS checked). Copies of our certificates and policies are always available during our Meet & Greet.
Q: Are you first aid trained and can you give my do their medication?
Absolutely. We hold certificates in Canine First Aid. We also have experience in caring for dogs with medical conditions, from allergies to life-limiting illnesses. Either way, they are safe in our hands.
Q: How do you handle home access and key security?
Keys, lockbox/home codes are stored securely when not in use and are coded anonymously - no personal details or addresses are ever attached.
Q: What is your policy for bad weather or extreme heat?
The safety of your dog comes first. During extreme heat (over approx 25°C, depending on humidity) or heavy storms, we substitute long walks with shorter garden breaks and focus the remainder of the session on indoor games, mental enrichment, and gentle affection.
Q: What happens in an emergency?
If your dog becomes unwell or injured, we will perform fist aid and contact you or your emergency contact immediately. If urgent veterinary care is needed, we will transport your dog straight to your preferred vet or the nearest emergency vet clinic.
Q: How will I know how the walk or visit went?
After every visit, you’ll receive an update message. We send a summary of what we did, toilet updates, and a few photos or video clips from our outing so you know your dog had a great time.
